Do we need to empty the racking?

Usually not. We work aisle by aisle with vacuum extraction and cover or shrink wrap stock where necessary. Only very heavy contamination or a food-grade requirement calls for clearing the bays.

Can you clean around a live operation?

Yes. We agree exclusion zones with your shift supervisor and move through the building in sections. Nights and weekends are also an option if you would rather we were nowhere near the pick face.

How often should a warehouse be cleaned at high level?

Annually for most sites. Anything with high FLT traffic, cardboard handling or open product should be looked at every six months, because cardboard dust builds far faster than people expect.

Do you do end of lease cleans?

Yes, including a photographic record before and after. It is worth doing before the dilapidations survey rather than after you receive the schedule.

Warehouse dust does not stay where it lands. It builds on racking beams and roof steel, drops onto stock, blocks sprinkler heads and adds a fire load nobody has budgeted for.

We clean distribution centres and storage facilities across the North West, working around live pick operations or in a single push when a unit is being handed back.

High level and racking

Racking beams, uprights, roof steelwork, sprinkler pipework and light fittings cleaned with vacuum extraction from a MEWP. Vacuuming rather than blowing matters here: blowing dust down means cleaning the floor and the stock again afterwards.

We work aisle by aisle so only a small part of the operation is closed at any point, and we coordinate with your shift supervisor on FLT movement and exclusion zones.

Floors

Ride-on scrubber driers for the main floor area, with degreasing where FLT traffic has left rubber and oil deposits. Line markings are cleaned rather than scrubbed off, and we treat wet floor areas as a hazard with proper signage and a drying pass.

First cleans on a neglected floor take two or three passes. After that a scheduled clean keeps it in condition at a much lower cost.

End of lease and handback

Dilapidations surveyors look up. Roof steel, racking, cladding, gutters and glazing all get inspected, and a warehouse that looks fine at floor level can still fail on high level dust.

We do full pre-handback cleans with a photo record, which is worth having when a schedule of dilapidations lands.
